How do I add tax exemption to my account?
To set up your tax-exempt status and have it applied to all qualifying purchases, follow these steps.
Step 1: Create a Company Account
- Create an account here: cmcpro.com/registration
- If you have an individual account and not a company account, please contact us info@cmcpro.com and request to convert your individual account to a company account.
Step 2: Submit your Tax exemption or Resale Certificates
- Log into your company account
- From your Account Dashboard (cmcpro.com/account), select Tax Certificates (cmcpro.com/account/tax-certificates), then select the Submit Tax Exemption / Resales Certifications button
- This will bring you the Avalara CertExpress where you can submit your certifications
Step 3: Approval
- Our team will review your submission*
- *It may take up to 1 to 2 business days to review your application. You can check the status on your account here (cmcpro.com/account/tax-certificates). If you need this expedited, please call us at 805-562-9120.
- Once approved, you will be able to check out with tax exemption**
- **Only purchases shipped to the approved state/region(s) will be tax exempt.
